More than a Fundraiser!

  Saving a Generation at Risk!

Schools across the country are facing tremendous pressure to provide more effective solutions because we have a  growing childhood obesity epidemic/crisis! What makes this most challenging is that many of the same school systems are also experiencing budget restraints that prohibit additional program funding. History will suggest that whenever we have a crisis, American communities come to the rescue!

                   Sometimes it takes a village!!

Together we can make a difference for a lifetime!

We don't want to treat diabetes, we want to prevent it!

We don't want to treat cancer, we want to prevent it!

We don't want to treat heart disease, we want to prevent it!

- Help save a generation at risk!

The "Moving to Prevent Obesity Challenge" works by reaching out to each student's community of relatives and friends, educating them about the benefits of the Program and the dangers of physical inactivity then allowing them to be part of the solution by making Moving Grooving for Life a long term fitness development reality in their school. In addition to informative brochures and the web site, the  Moving to Prevent Obesity FUNdraiser leverages social media opportunities including Facebook and Twitter. Credit card contributions are made online, placed in a holding account, and released only after the the schools student body together meets the challenge of moving and grooving an equal distance to crossing the U.S. from coast to coast in a specified amount of time. Real time progress is tracked by all at the MovingGroovingforLife.org website.

Sure, there are lots of fundraisers, but these are not ordinary times. In Mrs. Obama's words: "The physical and emotional health of an entire generation and the economic health and security of our nation is at stake. "This isn't the kind of problem that can be solved overnight, but with everyone working together, it can be solved. So, let's move!
